Bishkek, Dec. 17, 2018. /Kabar/. Head of the government of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziyev will take part in the second meeting of the Council of Heads of Border Regions of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan, which will be held in Osh Oblast on December 18. The Uzbek delegation will be headed by the country's Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov. The Council was established in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan on the creation of the Council of Plenipotentiary Representatives of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in the border areas and Hokims of the border regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, signed in Bishkek during the state visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on September 5-6, 2017, with the aim of developing contacts at the interregional level and expanding cooperation between the border areas of the two countries. The press service of the Government’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that during the second meeting of the Council it is planned to discuss development of the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the regions of the two countries. The Kyrgyz delegation includes heads of ministries and departments, governors of Batken, Jalal-Abad and Osh oblasts, as well as heads of the territorial authorities of the border regions. Read more
