Bishkek, Feb. 18, 2019. /Kabar/. An international conference on “Interconnectedness in Central Asia: Challenges and New Opportunities” will be held February 19-20, 2019 in Tashkent. A delegation from Kyrgyzstan consisting of five people has been invited to it, including former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Muratbek Imanaliev, Ombudsman of the Kyrgyz Republic Tokon Mamytov, expert Denis Berdakov, a representative of the IISS (International Institute for Strategic Studies) of Kyrgyzstan. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported that over 100 leading experts from analytical centers from almost 40 countries of the world had been invited to the forum. They will discuss issues of the current state of regional cooperation and deepening cooperation in the field of security, trade, transport, water use, education and science. The following regional institutions are expected to take part in the event – EU, Nordic Council, Organization of American States, Arctic Advisory Board, as well as international financial institutions – World Bank, WTO, European Investment Bank, etc. Read more
