Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov met his counterparts from the Czech Republic Tomáš Petříček and Slovakia Miroslav Lajčák within the framework of participation in Munich Security Conference (FRG). The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that during the meeting, Aidarbekov and Petříček discussed expansion of the Kyrgyz-Czech cooperation in areas of mutual interest. «At the same time, the sides noted the importance of enhancing the economic cooperation, in particular, by organizing a visit of the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic to Kyrgyzstan and holding a joint Kyrgyz-Czech business forum, as well as visits of deputies of the Czech parliament,» the statement reads. In addition, Aidarbekov met Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, OSCE Chairman-in-Office Miroslav Lajčák. “During the conversation, the sides discussed issues of a bilateral and multilateral agenda in the context of enhancing interaction in the political and economic spheres, including under the chairmanship of the Slovak Republic in the OSCE in 2019,” the Foreign Ministry said. Aidarbekov invited Lajčák to visit Kyrgyzstan in the first half of 2019. Read more
