Soul and heart for Kyrgyzstan - highlights of Karybekova's performance at Miss Universe

Bishkek, Dec. 17, 2018. /Kabar/. The Miss Universe 2018 pageant, where Kyrgyzstan was represented for the first time, ended on Monday in Bangkok. This year’s winner is beauty from the Philippines Catriona Gray. The beauty contest took place in the cities of Thailand from November 29 to December 17. The chance to display the Kyrgyz flag and demonstrate all the Asian beauty at such a large-scale event befell 20-year-old Begimai Karybekova. Previously, the girl faced a barrage of negative comments from armchair critics; she replied to them in her post: “I am going to Miss Universe contest at my immense wish, spending my hard-earned money, not at somebody else’s expense and not for my personal fame. Raising the flag of my homeland at a world-wide ceremony is the highest honor and honorable duty for me”. This patriotic aspiration has moved users of social media of the Kyrgyz net, they began to shower her with words of support. 94 beauties from all over the world took part in the competition; Kyrgyzstan managed to impress famous models with its national outfit, thereby acquainting the world with a small state in Central Asia. The Kyrgyz contestant entered the stage in robes woven by local designers - be it a national dress, be it an evening dress, demonstrating the talents of our people. Despite the outcome of the finals, compatriots began to encourage Karybekova and note that this was only the beginning of her career.
