Jamaica’s decision to lodge a petition today with King Charles to seek legal guidance on its slavery reparations claim from Britain has been branded as a disgrace by Pan-African advocate Dr Imani Tafari-Ama. “It is embarrassing. ‘Tuffman’ fatally shot by police in Shelter Rock, St Catherine

A man was shot and killed by the police in Shelter Rock, Spanish Town, St Catherine on Sunday morning. He has been identified by the alias ‘Tuffman’, who is of a Jones Pen, Spanish Town, address. The police report that about 6:50 a.m., police personnel, armed with a search warrant, went to a premises in the area said to be occupied by the man. According to the police, he was a person of interest in a number of crimes in the St Catherine North division. The police say the team advanced to the dwelling, and the door opened and suddenly shut.
