Bishkek, Sept. 25, 2018. /Kabar/. The volume of goods imported from other countries to Kyrgyzstan for the period from January to July of this year exceeded the export figures almost 3-fold. According to the preliminary estimates of the National Statistical Committee, the volume of foreign and mutual trade in goods of the Kyrgyz Republic for the first half of 2018 amounted to $3 billion 794.9 million and increased by 14% compared to the same period last year. The share of imports amounted to $2 billion 877.1 million, and the volume of exports amounted to $917.8 million. The volume of mutual trade between Kyrgyzstan and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) amounted to $1 billion 295.4 million and, compared to the period of January-July 2017, increased by 0.3%. At the same time, there was a decrease in the volume of imported goods by 2.8%, which in the total calculation was $956.1 million. Against the backdrop of the decline in imports, the export of goods to the EAEU countries increased by 10.4%, which totaled $339.3 million. - Export of goods to the Russian Federation in January-July 2018 amounted to $189.9 million and, compared the period of January-July 2017, increased by 28.1%, while imports amounted to $667.9 million and increased by 2.9%; - Export of goods to the Republic of Kazakhstan in January-July 2018 amounted to $144.9 million and, compared to the period of January-July 2017, decreased by 5.8%, while imports decreased by 6.4%, amounting to $271.4 million; - Export of goods to the Republic of Belarus in January-July 2018 amounted to $4.4 million and, compared to the period of January-July 2017, decreased by 14.8%, imports also decreased by 62.7%, amounting to $16.5 million; - Insignificant import operations were carried out with the Republic of Armenia in January-June 2018, which amounted to $0.3 million, which compared to the period of January-July 2017, decreased by 39%, and export operations amounting to $0.1 million.
