Valletta FC have announced that they have signed an agreement with a group of Saudi investors who will take the majority of control of the Premier League club. In a live video on their club's facebook page, Valletta FC president Victor Sciriha could not hide his satisfaction after an agreement was finally sealed that will see the Saudi investors take 70 per cent control of the club. The signing of the agreement was in the air for the last few weeks after club vice-president Alexander Fenech had told Times of Malta that an agreement was reached with the Saudi investors and the Citizens were only waiting for the club members to approve the deal being proposed. An extraordinary general meeting was called last month and the club members gave an overwhelming vote of approval.
