The Nationalist Party’s Sliema sectional committee on Friday rejected a confidence motion in favour of leader Adrian Delia by 10 votes against three. The PN leader is facing increasing internal calls to step down in view of continuous allegations concerning his personal life which have now spread into his political role. PN local committees, known as sectional committees, have been asked by the party headquarters to hold urgent meetings in which a motion of confidence in Dr Delia is approved and signed by all committee members. Times of Malta has received evidence of local committee meetings rushing a motion of confidence in favour of Dr Delia during the past few days. Read more
