OITF: Trusting the director, finding the truth
Mbabane played host to the second director's workshop of the October International Theatre Festival, and the room stayed busy with talk about craft. Speakers kept returning to one idea: in theatre and film, nothing works without the bond between director and actor. The masterclass probed how that trust is built in rehearsal and what it takes for an actor to find the truth of a scene. Participants came away having traded working methods through table discussions many called the most rewarding part of the day.
