Ukrainian blogger Flesh has explained how the 'mustached' version of Russia's Geran drone sets off its explosive. In these modified UAVs, the detonator triggers through the mechanical closing of a gap between metal elements. In effect, the metal 'whiskers' act as a contact switch that fires the charge on impact.
