Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he spoke with U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday about the possible end of Iran's governing regime. Netanyahu's office said the call addressed the significance of what it called the elimination of the Iranian regime. The statement said Israel was determined to complete that objective. Trump is not quoted, and the available account does not say whether the U.S. president endorsed the position. No operational plans or military measures are described, and no timetable is given. The remarks nevertheless place regime change in Iran at the center of the leaders' exchange. The public account leaves their precise positions and any agreement unclear.
