Full story
The Pope has canceled a visit to Assisi scheduled for the 27th. Doctors suggested this move as a precaution because little time has passed since his surgery. They specifically advised against traveling by helicopter for the interreligious meeting. This event marked the 40th anniversary of an initiative started by Wojtyla. He is still preparing for a trip to Latin America.
