Stan Wawrinka has ended his professional tennis career following a loss to Jiří Lehečka. The match took place in Basel, where Wawrinka's final shot landed out of bounds. Many spectators consider his one-handed backhand to be the most elegant in the world. The crowd responded to the end of the match with a standing ovation. Lehečka's victory effectively sent the veteran player into retirement.
