Éric Chelle has handed first Super Eagles invitations to Arthur Okonkwo, Isaac James and George Ilenikhena. The call-ups come as Nigeria prepares to open qualifying for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. The team start the campaign against Madagascar before meeting Guinea-Bissau. None of the three has featured for Nigeria at senior level before, so camp will be their first taste of the setup. Chelle appears to be widening his pool of options as the qualifiers begin. The new names give supporters something to track once the matchday squads are settled. Nigeria will want a strong start to avoid pressure building later in the group.
