Chomutov's basketball women nearly pulled off a shock in France but lost 66:80 to favourite Chartres in their Eurocup qualifier on Thursday. The 14-point defeat still leaves the Czech side with a route forward, because the tie will be decided in the return leg at home. Coach Petr Treml mladší admitted qualification will be extremely hard yet said the team is not throwing in the towel.
