American fighter Raul Rosas Jr. defeated Brazil's Raoni Barcelos at UFC Fight Night 289 in Las Vegas. The finish was severe, leaving Barcelos unconscious in the cage. Medics attended to him before he was carried out on a stretcher. Rosas Jr. was signed by the promotion as a teenager, and results like this keep his rise on track. The young bantamweight has built his reputation on aggressive, early finishes. Barcelos is a hardened veteran, which makes the manner of the defeat a heavy blow. He will need medical clearance before any talk of a return to training or competition.
