A male cyclist was killed after a collision with a van in County Clare. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Emergency services responded to the call, but nothing could be done to save the rider. Gardai have not released the victim's identity or the exact stretch of road where it happened. It is also unclear whether the van's driver suffered any injuries. Fatal road collisions in Ireland are examined by Garda investigators before any charges are considered.
