«Copperfield!» hapet zyrtarisht Off-Broadway: muzikali i ri mbi Dickens-in me Bobby Conte në rolin kryesor
The new musical 'Copperfield!' officially opened Off-Broadway in New York on October 19. It is playing at The Duke on 42nd Street, a modest venue close to the main theater district. Jeffrey Scharf wrote the book, music and lyrics, while Gabriel Barre directed the show and staged its choreography. Bobby Conte takes on the lead role in a story built around Charles Dickens and his tale of David Copperfield. The engagement is limited, running until December 6, which gives the company around seven weeks of performances. Short Off-Broadway runs like this one provide a fixed window to win over critics and audiences. Tickets and reviews over the coming weeks will show whether the production outgrows its limited season.
