Sujeto acusado de violación arroja aceite hirviendo a dos agentes durante su detención en Hermosillo, Sonora; también sufrió quemaduras
A man facing rape charges threw boiling oil at two officers while they were detaining him in Hermosillo, in the Mexican state of Sonora. The suspect, named in local reports as Héctor Manuel 'N', lashed out with the scalding liquid as police moved to take him into custody. The oil splashed the agents, and the man ended up injured as well during the struggle. He suffered second degree burns on his face, arms and abdomen, burns serious enough to be singled out in the report. The detention took place in the state capital, where police had been moving on the sexual assault accusation against him. The violent resistance has now put a separate offense on top of the rape case he already faced. What began as an ordinary apprehension turned into a scene of burns and injuries within moments.
