Authorities in the Sidi Bernoussi prefecture have begun steps to relocate residents of Karyan al-Rahamna, described as the oldest and largest karyan in Casablanca. Local authorities have reached an advanced stage in the relocation after years of waiting and anticipation among residents of the shacks. The process has started in “Block 10” of the settlement, while thousands of residents have already been relocated from other tin settlements.
