Casablanca authorities have begun moving residents of Karyan Rahamna, described as the city's oldest and largest shantytown, in the Sidi Bernoussi prefecture. Local officials have reached an advanced stage in the relocation after years of waiting by residents. The process comes as thousands of people have already been moved from other tin settlements. Work has now started at Block 10 within the settlement.
