Unemployment levels are estimated to be around 9.6% for the July-September quarter. Expectations suggest that unemployment will end the year with an average above 9%. The IMF has projected a 9.5% rate for this year and 9.6% for the following year. The agency does not expect unemployment to fall below 8% until 2031.
