German government spokesman Stefan Cornelius commented on the 2027 World Cup and on the stance of representatives of individual teams toward allowing Russia’s national team into international tournaments. He said the goal is to hold the tournament, but that if Russia participates it is practically impossible given boycotts. He added that options will be examined.
