Simon Harris stated that remaining on the unemployment register for years is not acceptable. He believes that receiving unemployment benefits should not be a way of life. Consequently, he has pledged to implement tougher measures regarding unemployment.
The Tánaiste said it was “simply not acceptable” to remain on the unemployment register year after year.
