The Police Regional Office 9 sent 821 personnel to the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao on Monday to beef up security for the September 14 parliamentary elections. Regional director Brig. Gen. Elmer Ragay led a ceremonial send-off at the PRO-9 quadrangle in Camp Col. Romeo before the officers left. The additional manpower will reinforce security forces already assigned to the polls. The election covers the entire autonomous, Muslim-majority region.
