Ibn Zohr University is expanding its academic and scientific presence in the southern provinces through several initiatives. These include hosting scientific events with African and international reach in Laayoune and developing training in advanced scientific and technological fields. In Smara, the university is widening its offerings by opening the new headquarters of a center affiliated with the Higher School of Technology in Laayoune. It is also launching programs in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
