IPC regional chairperson Kaufmann steps down, warns party against internal division

Outgoing Independent Patriots for Change Khomas regional chairperson Fritz Kaufmann has stepped down, urging party members not to allow personal differences, internal division and individual ambitions to weaken the party. He is replaced by Emrick Nangolo. Speaking at the party’s elective conference in Windhoek on Saturday, Kaufmann said his departure from the regional leadership position should not be seen as abandoning the party, but as an opportunity for new leadership to take over. “Do not allow personal differences, internal division or individual ambitions to weaken this organisation. Our political opponents are not amongst us. Remember, they are outside,” he said.
