Constanța is about to join Romania's metropolitan rail map, with the Transport Ministry expected to approve the Constanța Metropolitan Train project. The network would directly serve more than 500,000 residents, over 75 percent of the county's population. Priority routes for the service are being laid out as the plan moves toward sign-off.
