Government troops in Yemen's Taiz governorate have pushed Houthi fighters out of the Al-Makazama and Al-Mayhal areas in the Kadha district. Brigadier General Abdulaziz Al-Mujaidi, chief of staff of the Taiz front, said the operation combined his forces with the National Shield brigades and enjoyed air cover. He described the push as part of an effort to free Kadha, in the Muqabna district west of the province, from Houthi control. The advance follows gains by government forces south and west of Taiz city.
