Productivity down as workforce shrinks, UWI warns
The University of the West Indies is warning that productivity is slipping as the workforce shrinks. Professor Winston Moore is behind the assessment, which links a shrinking labour pool to falling output. His point is straightforward: with fewer people available to work, the economy needs each worker to produce more just to keep pace.
