Dubai's Court of First Instance has ordered a man to pay 1.1 million dirhams over a shipment of 187 silver bars he obtained through an elaborate ruse. The two owners who took the case to court share the defendant's Arab nationality. The ruling effectively makes the fraudster answer for the full value of the silver he took.
