Accident on BKE towards Woodlands Checkpoint: Expect delays, says ICA

Travellers and motorists who are planning to depart Singapore via Woodlands Checkpoint should expect delays, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) said on Wednesday (Sept 9) morning.In a social media post at 10am, the authority said this is due to a traffic accident near Exit 10A of the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) towards Woodlands Checkpoint.According to ICA, the accident resulted in one of the carriageway's three lanes being blocked."Travellers planning to depart Singapore via Woodlands Checkpoint should expect delays," it said.Checks on the Land Transport Authority's traffic cameras at 12.15pm show bumper-to-bumper traffic along BKE.There is also a slight queue at Woodlands Crossing, while traffic along the Causeway remains smooth.AsiaOne has reached out to the police for more information on the accident.
