New details have emerged from the official investigation into the dramatic explosion in Tirana's Brryl area on the morning of September 9. According to the inspection team's preliminary assessment, there was no explosion of the fuel tanks at the Skënderi G retail station. Inspectors say the fire that broke out did not begin in the storage tanks, and the suspected source is still being traced. The findings mark the first official word on what set off the blast.
