‘Civilisational twins’: Rajnath Singh meets Sri Lankan president, steps up India’s defence ties with Colombo

They discussed multifaceted partnerships and regional safety, security, peace, and prosperity. Sri Lanka reiterated its commitment to India's security interests and acknowledged India's assistance. Both leaders virtually inaugurated three Bailey Bridges constructed by Indian defence forces. Memorandums of understanding were exchanged to boost defence cooperation between the two nations.
