Iraq-EU Trade and Investment Talks
Iraq has begun groundwork for deeper trade and investment ties with the European Union. The Trade Ministry took part in a preparatory meeting in Baghdad hosted by the Foreign Ministry, alongside several Iraqi economic institutions and the EU mission. Talks covered proposals to expand commercial relations and back the private sector. No concrete agreements were announced after the session.
