More armored assets deployed to Lanao Sur to secure BARMM polls
The Philippine Army has sent two M113A2 armoured personnel carriers to Tubaran in Lanao del Sur ahead of the first Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections on 14 September. Captain Maria Lily Salazar, commanding officer of the 4th Cavalry Company of the Armor 'Pambato' Division, said the vehicles will back troops under the 101st Brigade tasked with securing the polls in the area.
