Portuguese singer Rita Redshoes has a new album out called FALA, and it is built on the work of women songwriters from her own country. She invited some of the most respected singer-songwriters in Portugal to compose original songs and lyrics for the record. Each contributor approached the same broad subject: what it means to be a woman, seen from different angles.
