Government to Widen Confiscation of Private Property to Citizens Without Criminal Conviction
Hungary's government plans to expand asset confiscation to people who haven't been convicted of a crime. If authorities presume their assets came from criminal activity, they could seize them. Péter Magyar announced the move, saying the rule-of-law concerns from Brussels are no longer an issue.
