Saudi, UAE FMs discuss efforts to contain regional escalation

RIYADH — Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a phone call from his Emirati counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to discuss escalating regional tensions. During the call on Sunday, the two foreign ministers discussed the latest regional developments and ongoing efforts to contain escalation amid rapidly evolving circumstances. They also stressed the importance of coordinating positions and strengthening consultations between Saudi Arabia and the UAE in support of joint Gulf action, regional security and the protection of their countries’ resources.
