José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero wants the courts to call off the probe into his paid work in Bolivia. The former Spanish prime minister has asked the Audiencia Nacional's criminal chamber to annul the investigation run by Judge Calama, arguing that the 200,000 euros he received for dealings with Bolivian authorities does not belong in the Plus Ultra case. In his filing he calls the judge's move a 'patente de corso', a term suggesting he is acting beyond his mandate. The question now is whether those payments can stay outside the airline case or become part of it.
