Extra charges can slip onto a restaurant bill or a parking payment without the customer ever noticing. The Bank of Lithuania is urging people to look closely at their receipts, because some of the fees listed there should actually be paid by the merchant rather than the shopper. A reader of tv3.lt described his own experience after lunch at the Talutti restaurant in Vilnius, where the way a service fee had been applied caught his attention.
Apmokant sąskaitą restorane ar mokant už automobilio parkavimą galima net nepastebėti, kokie papildomi mokesčiai yra pritaikomi. Visgi Lietuvos bankas (LB) ragina gyventojus atkreipti dėmesį į sąskaitas, nes kartais jose pateikiami mokesčiai, kuriuos turėtų mokėti pats prekybininkas.
