Isaac Alade, the Social Democratic Party candidate in the Ekiti governorship election, has withdrawn his petition challenging Governor Biodun Oyebanji's victory. The candidate decided to drop the legal challenge after the poll. His party, however, does not back the move and has rejected the withdrawal. That means the dispute over the election result may not be settled yet.
