The Red Cross has called on journalists covering the conflict in Nigeria's North-East to put affected people at the centre of their reporting. During a training session, the ICRC urged reporters to look beyond casualty figures and tell the human stories behind the violence. The message was that numbers alone cannot capture what communities caught up in the fighting are living through.
