Three requests filed to disqualify Ra’am from running in elections
Disqualification bids against several parties and candidates will come before the Central Elections Committee next week as Israel heads toward elections for the 26th Knesset. Ra'am draws the most fire, with three separate requests seeking to knock it off the ballot. Two petitions target Otzma Yehudit, while single requests were filed against the Democrats, the Religious Zionist Party, and the Joint List together with MK Ofer Cassif. A final request seeks to disqualify former MK Sami Abu Shehadeh as a candidate.
The Central Elections Committee will consider next week requests to disqualify lists and candidates from running in the elections to the 26th Knesset. Three requests have been filed to disqualify the Ra’am party, two requests to disqualify Otzma Yehudit, one request to disqualify the Democrats party, one request to disqualify the Religious Zionist Party, one request to disqualify the Joint List and MK Ofer Cassif, and another request to disqualify former MK Sami Abu Shehadeh.
