Iraqi PM Adviser "Denies US Plans to Halt Dollar Shipments"
Mazhar Mohammed Saleh, an adviser to Iraq's prime minister, has dismissed reports that Washington plans to cut off dollar shipments to Iraq. The reports claimed the US would halt the transfers if armed groups failed to disarm by September 30. Saleh said no such plan exists. Dollar flows are a sensitive subject for Baghdad, which depends on regular cash deliveries to keep its currency market supplied.
