A landslide has blocked the Chame-Besisahar road, the main travel and supply route for the mountain district of Manang. Traffic has come to a complete halt, with no vehicles able to pass until the debris is cleared. The road is described as the district's lifeline, so the closure has left communities cut off from the rest of the network.
