Traders Advocacy Group calls for removal of Transport Minister over port charges, fares
The Traders Advocacy Group of Ghana is calling for the immediate removal of the Transport Minister, accusing him of incompetence in managing the country’s transport sector. The group says traders and the general public are being burdened by what it describes as exorbitant charges at the ports, high airfares and rising bus transport fares. Speaking on behalf of the group, its General Secretary, Emmanuel Opoku Acheampong, said the Transport Minister had failed to effectively manage the sector.
