Election lawyer asks President to veto bill postponing BSKE to 2028
Election lawyer Romulo Macalintal has asked President Marcos to veto legislation that would push the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections from this November to 2028. In a letter-petition dated September 17, he argued the postponement violates the constitutional right to vote. The polls are currently set for November 2. Macalintal also noted the elections would be delayed yet again under the bill.
