A rights group is taking French police to court over the death of a 29-year-old Moroccan man. The young man, identified as Youssouf, died days after a police officer shoved him during a patrol in a residential neighborhood of Carcassonne. The push sent him backward, and he struck the back of his head on the ground. The France-Morocco Human Rights Association, based in Paris, says it has already started legal proceedings in the case.
