Muhammadu Sanusi II, the Emir of Kano, has called on Nigerians to buy shares in the Dangote refinery. He made the appeal ahead of the company's planned initial public offering, which will open ownership of the giant fuel plant to ordinary investors. In his view, people who already depend on the refinery's petrol should get the chance to profit from it too.
